Recent #herping adventures in DC - a prehistoric-looking Common Snapping Turtle, an adult male Five-lined Skink who's dropped his tail at some point, and a juvenile Five-lined Skink with its electric blue tail, all seen on Theodore Roosevelt Island, and the resident Common Watersnake at the lily pond in the Tregaron Conservancy.
