#sneerclub so who told crypto firms that it's okay to do a little ponzi, as a treat

Is there anything like #sneerclub, or any other sub-community dedicated to keeping track of rationalists, on Mastodon?

Why are there so many communities cosplaying as logicians? So far I've found the Lojban LLG, the LessWrongers and rationalists (hi #SneerClub), and now Philosophy #StackExchange. It seems like a lot of groups want the appearance of logical rigor, but refuse to put in the epistemological labor which it entails.

@Grouchybeast @davidgerard For now, #SneerClub can be the home. It's certainly more accessible to me than Reddit or Discord, and not likely to be taken offline easily.

@timnitGebru Honestly, I applaud your restraint. Many of us have stopped being polite, and outright critique Extropian/LW talking points because they are so baldly wrong.

I can't imagine spez taking over /r/SneerClub like he's been doing with other subreddits. Investors are probably glad to see this sort of content leaving the site, even though it's not technically NSFW.
