I really found this #SaturdaySighting impossible to capture with my fairly amateur camera, but a long stretch of my hiking trail this morning was overlaid with this wonderfully crystalized snow. The tiny fractals, like the Snow Queen's cloak of quills, caught the light everywhere I looked and was, very literally, dazzling.

We also met some birds in the forest. A great spotted woodpecker and a couple of bullfinches. And we studied the snow crystals that grew overnight in -16° C. #snowcrystals
