Today’s listening is ‘The Making Of You’, the 2020 album by Snowgoose.
This is a fairly laid-back collection of folk-rock tunes from this Scottish band, with lead singer Anna Sheard’s wonderful voice to the fore.
A very enjoyable listen, quite reminiscent of 1970's era Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span!

From #SauvieIsland, just north of Portland where the #WillametteRiver flows into the #ColumbiaRiver. We were fortunate to be there between rain showers. We also had excellent views of #BaldEagle, #HarrierHawk, #Kestrel, #SnowGoose, #Shoveler, #Widgeon, #CanvasBack, #Coot, #Swan, #Egret, and #GreatBlueHeron.

We went to see the winter birds in #SauvieIsland, most especially the #SandhillCranes. They are the largest species of crane in North America and their distinctive call is haunting. We also saw #BaldEagle, #HarrierHawk, #Kestrel, #SnowGoose, #CanadaGoose, #Coot, #ScrubJay, #RedwingBlackbird, #WesternMeadowlark, and a few others. What a gorgeous day!
If you go, don't forget to buy a wildlife parking permit at the store next to the bridge.
