Overnight a heavy wet snow fell on top of these still drive shafts for the Nubes lift at Cerro Catedral. When they turned on the lift and the shafts began to spin, the snow stuck to the rotating shafts for at least an hour of operation before sliding off.

I'm looking for small lightweight and preferably cheap samplers- that can be taken along by volunteers on lightweight expeditions.

The kind that are a cylinder with a spring scale for example.

Where would you get these from in Europe? Google is failing me...

Back home in Tahoe and finished instructing a Level 2 avalanche class with a strong crew. High danger on the last day made for interesting observations like this small slide we intentionally triggered on an innocuous test slope.
