Today on #snowwesterns I noticed there are only two movies left which I have never seen, so if nothing come up to distract me I may watch both! Currently starting The Great Silence (1968). I get the impression this will be a gritty, spaghetti-western style thing, as 1968 was well into the 'fistfull of dollars' era of westerns and one of the stars seems to be Klaus Kinski. I'm excited
Tonight for #snowwesterns I'm watching Ravenous, starring Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle
Now watching on the #CriterionChannel (part of their #SnowWesterns collection):
The Secret of Convict Lake
(1951, dir. Michael Gordon)
a noir/western starring Glen Ford, Gene Tierny, and Ethel Barrymore.

This movie has a lot to recommend it including Mr. Perfect Movie Face aka Glenn Ford as well as (spoiler alert) a gang of old ladies murdering a would-be rapist with farm implements 👍🏼
THE SECRET OF CONVICT LAKE, 1951

Here's the whole #snowwesterns list, credit to Criterion Channel for compiling it:
Secret of Convict Lake (1951)
The Wild North (1952)
The Far Country (1954)
Track of the Cat (1954)
Day of the Outlaw (1959)
The Great Silence (1968)
Little Big Man (1970)
McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971)
Dead Man (1995)
Ravenous (1999)
Tonight for my #SnowWesterns marathon I watched a 1952 movie called The Wild North. It's about a guy accused of a crime, and a Constable who has to bring him to justice through the winter wilderness.
I have to admit I loved this movie. The chemistry between these two guys, who on the surface are enemies, but deep down actually like each other, is fantastic.
