Yeah I had to walk away and take a break. Did #PrisonerDilemma with son and husband. We all answered say nothing and risk the one year which according to the chapter on #SocialContractTheory is the ideal answer but the "wrong" answer because people wouldn't choose it.
All I can think is social contract theory is an excuse to see the worst in humanity and comes from the lord of the flies style belief that without s rich middle aged white man to tell us what to do society will crumble.

Social Contract Theory (Veri style)

Society exists for the individual, not the other way around.

Society provides the individual what they can't obtain on their own (given that the individual already has maximum autonomy).

In turn, the individual contributes (for lack of a better word) to society by maintaining its hospitality (again, for lack of a better word) to the rest of the population, keeping social responsibility in place.

If society hasn't fulfilled that prerequisite, and instead forces the majority to accommodate for a few elites, robs my autonomy and doesn't give me what I need, then I have no obligation to "contribute" to it in any way.

On the contrary, I have an obligation to burn it down. 😈
