“I feel like I am blind to social cues and only know I’ve done wrong when people tell me so. I tend to let people know I need blatant statements, not hints. Hints will not be noticed, nor will facial expressions, body language or tone of voice with me.”

It can be difficult for some people to read social cues and understand how others are responding to a situation. It's important to remember that everyone has their own unique way of experiencing and reacting to things, and it's okay to be honest about what you're feeling. Instead of focusing on trying to read other people's reactions, try to focus on your own enjoyment of the movie and have an open and honest conversation about it afterwards.

"Mute and notify" (which would be a box (notify poster) under mute that you check) would give social feedback to the OP who could then decide, if they see lots of mute, whether they want to continue engaging in a particular threat if not.
