So much interesting variation to absorb across species: polymorphic body forms, with giants working alongside smaller kin; kidnapping the unborn of rival ant species to turn the brood into unwitting slaves; vampirism; bivouacking (temporary structure from enmeshed bodies); exploding kamikaze ants; fungus infected zombie ants; and so on. And, of course, theres the eusocial organization and chemical signalling stigmergy.
