My Mastodon posts are being deleted after 90 days, except the pinned ones. I wonder if I will ever reach zero non-pinned posts.
I know there is Social Exhaustion which is what us introverts go through 99.99% of the time, but. Is there such a thing as social media fatigue or exhaustion? Because I’m totally there.
Just in case you wondered why I’m not online much.

It turns out we are really living inside the Matrix! Thanks to the "clever" algorythms of Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and all the other for profit social media platforms. I really hope more people will take the red pill and join Mastodon soon. If anyone is interested in learning more about how those algorythms are messing our lives, check out this podcast: www.nytimes.com/column/rabbit-hole #redpill #SocialMediaFatigue #TwitterDesaster #AIOverlord

Stop seeing networking as something you need to do to avoid falling behind — and start thinking of it as an opportunity for learning and discovery. #HumanResouces,#SocialMediaFatigue

As I’m gearing up for a lot of changes in my digital life, I’m looking for an app to aggregate RSS feeds for tailormade news. I’ve used Feedly and Google News before but wondering if there’s an alternative? Perhaps even something indie/non-profit? #SocialMediaFatigue
In the emptiness of the void, none can hear me scream. #newguy #SocialMediaFatigue
I generally follow a "two strikes" social media rule. If someone I don't really know is rude to me once, I give them the benefit of the doubt (maybe they're having a bad day?). If they're rude again then they're gone, either muted or banned depending on if I want them to be able to still see my content.
You can and should control your social media experience. There is no "right" for someone to be part of your experience on social media. You don't owe anyone that.
I get that Boosting is the engine for :mastodon: I do it. Maybe it’s helpful. I hope so.
You can turn off boosts in your home feed 🙂 but it doesn’t carry over to your #Lists. 😕 To get around that, there’s a preference found under each individual profiles that allows you to turn off “viewing their boosts.” #Effort
Now I see just what people actually post themselves. Feels a little more like there are actual people there. 🙂
