So when scammers post on Instagram about giving money away to whomever messages them a code word, are they A/B testing a message or a type of account or what? I assume that the code word is for tracking, but what do they get out of this?

Just joined a large, international, FB group – and the second thing I spot (first I saw some lovely pics) is a scammer: recently joined, stolen profile pic, one single post with stolen photo talking about feeling lonely, wants to take selected conversations over to Messenger. Why do women keep falling for this, over and over again? (I know, we just want to be polite and he looks like a nice guy etc etc … ) #socialmediascammers #scam
