I have 2 names too -- American and Chinese. I don't feel any need to "reclaim" my Chinese name because I've never abandoned it. I just never used it but for those who are interested here it is:

呂 “ler-e”
兆 “siu”
麟 “lin” (or Qilin)

There's a long story that goes w/my given name 兆 麟 which relates to a Chinese fable about a the birth of a son following a visit from the Qilin (the Chinese unicorn).

This makes for great cocktail conversation but has no practical usage in our AmerEuro-centric society.
