Social workers (from a Canadian context) often hold positions funded by the provinical gov't to work with individuals.

They work at nonprofit orgs almost solely dependent on gov't funding.

The ability for these orgs to advocate for the necessary policy change to better the lives of many is almost fully hindered bc of this gov't $ dependence.

Around and around and around goes this cycle.
