One thing I notice about #russian #twitter, which is not even about #linguistics, but more the #sociology of linguistics, so to say, is that a lot of people are really judgmental about each other's language. Attacks on language, on it's supposed impurity, the use of #punctuation, #sociolects and regionalisms, are _exremely common_. It's as if there were a shared understanding that a person not abiding by the norms of some "official language" can't represent the "russiannness", whatever it is 1/2
