Chinese automaker JAC Motors developed the world’s first sodium-ion battery-powered electric vehicle. Sodium-ion batteries are cheaper, safer, and more environmentally friendly than lithium-ion batteries, and they can overcome the challenges of raw material supply and recycling. The Hua Xianzi (Flower Fairy) vehicle can cover up to 250 kilometres on a single charge.

@simplenomad I'm really impressed with the #lfp batteries I have so far, time will tell how they age, but the sooner the better #ZincBromide or #SodiumIon become available domestically. The major advantage here is clearly on reusing existing lead acid manufacturing
