#SeattlePublicSchools board has been spending time and money on training and implementing "Student-Outcomes Focused Governance" (#SOFG), which despite its claim to focus on Black boys (whose test scores on average have never been lower in Seattle than right now) is essentially a #neoliberal recipe to force the schools to self-destruct to benefit #charterSchools. It closely follows the model of the state takeover of Houston schools. https://twitter.com/cruickshank/status/1684275439500668929 #Seattle

Materials for the Thursday, July 6, 2023, #SeattlePublicSchools board meeting 4:15pm. The personnel report includes several asst. principal departures; #SOFG goals-and-guardrails are also getting some (minimal) data transparency—doesn't look good. Some schools may be shifting to 1:1 tutoring. | https://www.seattleschools.org/board-meetings/july-6-2023-regular-board-meeting/
