Kids are scared and telling each other various stories. I feel like that in and of itself is a story.

The communication has been crap so far as I can tell and all the schools seem to be doing is telling kids to not spread rumors, which the kids are taking as a sign of a cover up.

The question in #SoFla isn't can the DOJ find 12 willing to convict Trump, it's can Trump's lawyers find 12 jurors willing to acquit Trump in a +16 Biden region of the state.

The answer is, OF COURSE THEY CAN.

While Biden won an massive 93% of the vote in #DC Trump won 18,586 votes.

Can Trump's lawyers find just twelve people willing to acquit?

Setting aside the overall potential jury pool may be bigger than just DC, OF COURSE THEY CAN FIND TWELVE PEOPLE WILLING TO ACQUIT.

Y'all understand the lawyers pick the jury, right? It's going to start with a cross section of citizens in South Florida (MDC, Brow, PBC) and in DC, but the lawyers are going to do everything they can to find juries they like or at least can live with.

#SoFla voted overwhelmingly for #Biden but because that number was smaller than what voted for Hillary people think it's #Trump country but it is not. Biden received 58% of the vote in South Florida. A 16 point victory.

As I keep saying the mayor of #Miami who is running for president is not relevant. He's mayor of a mid sized city who operates *beneath* the county mayor.

That Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava (D) inherited tremendous environmental issues when she took office. Which she campaigned on addressing.

According to this top issues are sewage (rather septic tanks!) and trash (we're out of space).

She's already trying to plant millions of trees. #SoFla she's up again in 2024.

There is a world famous Cuban cuisine place called Versailles at western edge of what's called Calle ocho. That is the epicenter of magadome in Miami-Dade County. If you want good Cuban food, I can point you in the direction of what you need. I'm just saying. Now are these other places magafree? I haven't a clue and if you do I would love to know which places are not Maga. Apparently, South Florida is so pro MAGA it'll be hard to find 12 jurors willing to convict Trump despite the fact that a grand jury from the exact same place indicted him, becoming the first grand jury to indict a sitting president and despite SoFla having millions of potential jurors.

But it's about one developer in Miami, technically Coconut Grove, and how he's been sitting on unfurnished houses with buyers under contract for five and sometimes more years. It really is a case study in how deregulation is used for corruption as Miami Dade County has basically shrugged at several home buyers caught in this man's trap.

Did I see a billboard today in #SoFla that mimicked the ones in California and New York saying, "abortion is safe and legal in Florida"?

I'm legit asking. It was one of those video boards. Has anyone else seen one of these?

And, frankly, that's assuming Miami Dade County isn't part of Biscayne Bay in ten years. Right now Florida is dependent on an industry that adds horribly to global warming, mega cruise ships, Miami Dade County is one of the worst recycling cities in the United States, the governor doesn't care about global warming and he seems to be working for pandemics.

Here's what it's like 1.5 years into my time in South Florida. They told me it was hot, and I was like, bro, I'm from Sacramento, you never top 100, we top 115. But they were right, double 90s (temp + humidity) that doesn't abate at night? ugh. Summers are brutal.

But winters are nice. 80s mostly. Today, it is in fact a little tiny bit chilly. 60s for a high. It took me ten minutes to find sweatpants because I don't wear pants anymore. And now they feel weird.
