Why, oh why, on a browser where I am not logged into my Google account, on a computer bought in the US and setup with all English locales, from an American IP address, does Google insist on serving me this horrendous French machine translation of all of its documentation pages (OR-Tools, tensorflow, etc.), every time? And how can I make it stop?
People, please stop trying to use Lemmy and Mastodon together. Yes, they're both activityPub, but they have different formatting and features. Your Mastodon originated posts often look weird in the Lemmy feed due to these differences, and are just clogging up our communities with garbage. Additionally Mastodon posters often can't see all the replies that were made via Lemmy. If you want to use Lemmy, just use Lemmy 🙄

Credit to http://grove.co/ for being "creative" in their new attempts to increase conversion. When you land on that e-commerce site, you start with 13 products in your cart.
😂 Not sure if bug, or really optimistic marketing.

Too many of the apps on my phone do positive notification when they should do negative notification.
e.g.: we have an automatic cat feeder that gives Fredy a small snack at midday and 6pm, and it sends a notification to my phone each time. What it *should* do is only send me a notification when it was unable to feed him for some reason -- the feeder failed to confirm with the server a meal was delivered, so *then* the server should ping my phone and say, "hey you need to go and check on your cat feeder right away."
I promise you, this is my favorite regex so far:
