Software people who fail to understand "we have found the problem but the fix has not been released to production"

Honestly, how hard is that to understand?

I love when someone you did not include on an email gets something forwarded to him, then does not read the email, because he has previously been made known of the problem. And... completely misunderstands what I was after, which... was why I did not include him on the email in the first place....

Now that I’m a team lead I “participate” in quarterly planning. And I have to say this is highly entertaining!

”Git branch needs to be merged locally”

Is the most stressful after rewriting a whole bunch of code. Extra lucky if Git gets confused and tells you to re-merge the exact changes you’ve just made and proceeds to catch fire.

Inventor of the term "mythical man month" lives more than 1,092 real ones. He did the OS for the IBM/360, which was the computer I wrote my first program on (in ALGOL W). RIP Frederick P. Brooks Jr.

A rubberduck is an amazing force of nature. It uncovers our hidden assumptions like no other. I *was* editing a wrong file.

Get out of your "box of responsibility". Nobody cares if your box is good. Only the outcome matters for the customer.
