Frage an die #Photovoltaik-Community: Warum kommt es bei der #PV-Anlage immer wieder zu #Netzbezug, obwohl eigentlich die momentane PV-Produktion den Verbrauch deutlich übersteigt, der #Speicher nicht leer ist und die nötige Leistung absolut im Rahmen dessen liegt, was der #Wechselrichter schaffen könnte? Irgendwelche Ideen?
Es geht um einen #SolarEdge Home Hub. Habt ihr das bei euren Anlagen auch?

Heute mal den #SolarEdge #WechselRichter ans Netz gebracht. Kein Webinterface 😠 Für den lokalen Zugriff auf die Daten braucht man einen Installateursaccount und eine spezielle App von Solaredge, die sich dann per lokal aufgespannten WLAN des Wechselrichters mit diesem verbindet. Nun gut, der Account ist recht einfach zu bekommen, "Self-Installers" werden auch akzeptiert.

@meznokto I'd love to do this properly too - and I'm sure I'll get to it at some future date. I'm on the Octopus Go tariff currently (cheap overnight period) and I'm pretty sure I could work that out - but I'm almost certainly going to be switching to the Agile tariff at some point (once I have my battery management fully available) and that's 30 minute variable charging slots all day - so could be more of a challenge... Hmmm....

Changed a #SolarEdge inverter from using an old, defunct, 3G cell card, to a brand-spankin' new cat5e cable run straight to the router! A hardline always is more reliable in my opinion, anyway. #hardlinegang

We got our first power bill since our #solar energy credit ran out last month, it’s three digits for electricity. We wonder how much longer we have to wait for #SolarEdge to get their act together and get us a new inverter; there’s still no estimate on delivery from them. There has been next to zero communication.

Would I recommend #RooftopSolar ? Absolutely; best money I ever spent. Ever.

Installed #RooftopSolar two years ago. It’s been awesome not paying for electricity. However, I need to drop a #truthbomb about #SolarEdge service and follow up when it comes to warranty work.

Our inverter went out around the New Year. We called our installer, and he submitted a claim to get a replacement since it was still under warranty - said it shouldn’t be a big deal. Fast forward almost three months, and my system is still down with no word on a replacement.

This is, of course, after Tigo, #SolarEdge, and #Enphase successfully lobbied the NEC to put module level rapid shutdown as a requirement for solar systems going forward. Bit of a dick move.

Trying to get my #solar reporting working again. My #solaredge inverters are online and working, and the #tesla app reports their production, but they aren't reporting to solaredge. Anyone got suggestions? Tesla refuses to help, and solaredge says it's tesla. :(

Update: I found the SolarEdge Modbus integration in HACS and set it up according to Remko's guide here: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/solaredge-modbus-configuration-for-single-inverter-and-battery/464084 ... All works a treat (but watch out for the database/logging settings if you try this).

Vandaag gaat het -ondanks het grijze weer vandaag- een stuk beter met de zonnepanelen in de #SolarEdge rapportage. De eerste productie was om 9uur al in de app te zien.

@anomnomnomaly that's an interesting comment. We have a Solaredge Inverter on our system and below is the power output from it for a bit of today. The day was pretty dull and so the solar output was very poor, but we still had power being fed into the house. The graph is from the CT clamp on the output of the inverter.

For example, #rs485 to an #esp32 to #mqtt to enable bidirectional comms to another rs485 device... I figured there would be some project that already does a wireless rs485, but have been surprisingly unfruitful in searching. There do appear to be things to get the data into Mqtt, so maybe with some tinkering I can get something to work. #solaredge does support modbus over ip but I don't yet understand if that allows sending data to the inverter or just reading.
