@KuJoe My record is a Sun Ultra 5 with 6 years uptime. It ran the backup system at the place I was working. There was, ironically, no backup for this machine. If it had had two PSUs I’d have used a long extension and kept it up, but no. It came up perfectly, and carried on running for an other year.

What a particularly interesting design concept. 1999 was something with design for technology.

How does one even describe the Sun SunRay? It’s a stateless thin client computer aimed at corporate environments, originally introduced by Sun Microsystems in September 1999.

Yet… how is this attractive to corporate stuff?

Seuraavaksi Solariksesta kalevalaisiin naisiin.

Mitä nyt olen Turun Kaupunginteatterin juuri ensi-illassa olleesta Solariksesta selvittänyt, siellä käytetään David Greigin adaptaatiota, joka perustuu sekä kirjaan että Tarkovskin elokuvaan, kuitenkin päivitettynä - ainakin tunkkaiset sukupuoliroolit on ilmeisesti hylätty ja varmaankin kirjan rodullinen kuvaus unohdettu (elokuvassa sitä ei ole). Se on hyvä se, jokusen kerran särähti kirjaakin lukiessa.

So on an Attribute Wrangle node you can Get a value from a channel with:

float cam_hieght = chf("camera_hieght");

but does anyone know if I can Set a value, so basically the reverse?

We all know "hexspeak" magic hexadecimal constants used in code such as 0xdeadbeef or 0xcafebabe (magic number for universal Mach-O files as well as Java class files). This one found by Colin Gordon during an internship in the team at Microsystems in 2007 was new to me... (/usr/src/uts/common/sys/dumphdr.h)
