Looks like North Somerset council has opened up its Solar Together program again. This is a group buying system that allows for cheaper prices. (May also be available in other council areas).

The Solar Together scheme has reopened in the South West of England.
This is a great way to get cheaper solar panels and batteries on and in your property. I speak from experience, and can attest that they can save you a lot on your electricity bills... if you have the money spare to buy them. 🌞⚡💡

Just had a massive rant to our original solar installers about how bad the Solar Together people were. Still angry about the whole thing where they replaced our perfectly good inverter with one that isn’t as good because their batteries didn’t work with it (apparently they could have used different batteries that did work with the original setup). Anyway avoid the #SolarTogether program if you’re in Leicester. The company that does it is bad bad bad.
@janrosenow Fresh installation in East London last Monday. The scaffolding is still up 🙂. Ten 400W panels, an inverter and two 3.6kWh batteries bought through #SolarTogether. Already had two sunny days (in Feb!) with zero drawn from the grid the rest is around 1-2kWh. The whole shebang with the installation etc just under £10k. Amazingly easy and straight forward once you do a 30 min research.
