Don't have any experience with the Pinecil either, sorry. It's possible somebody brought one to our last #SolderChallenge but the event has been too chaotic for me to interact with them and learn about it.

20k specks of dust... I mean 100nF capacitors in 01005 (imperial) / 0402 (metric) size. Should be enough for a *lot* of #soldering practice and a couple of #SolderChallenge s. No more need to hold back on the smallest size parts because of their cost.
They may also come in handy for decoupling as they fit directly next to pins of 0.5mm pin pitch parts, reducing parasitic impedance. For prototypes I've even placed 0201I/0603M capacitors directly on top of the pins of a 0.65mm TSSOP. 😇
