I love the colours in this pic, which I took just along from the Coruisk Memorial Hut on Skye. With the eye of faith, you can just about make out dots around the edge of Eilean Glas, a tiny, rocky island in Loch na Cuilce, near the mighty Cuillins. Each is a basking seal. A lovely calm place to be.

A camera shot this time, from one of my walks on Harris earlier this month.

Minutes before taking this, I had rounded the top of a hill and startled a golden eagle on the ground. No photos, but I can tell you that watching him take off, not 20 feet from where I stood, was breathtaking

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been on. It has a huge curving swathe of white sand and turquoise water. At one end there are rocks forming the most lovely patterns and textures. The colours are quite breathtaking

Just showed this to my son. He has identified it as a goat. I’m not prepared to disclose his age, but let’s just say he’s in secondary school 🙈
More time outdoors?! 🤣

This is actually a camera shot. I had only a couple of secs to take it. Despite the deer hanging around for a while, he refused to lift his head out of the long grass! It’s blurry, but I’m glad I’m trying my camera!
