A photo a day of #OurBeautifulWorld - taken this morning as immense storm waves came racing in to batter the medieval Mousehole harbour wall. It's sobering to remember that that is the 41st anniversary of the Penlee Lifeboat Disaster, when the crew of the Solomon Browne bravely launched in weather much worse than this - and in the dark - to attempt a rescue of a foundering vessel off Lamorna. Tragically, all hands perished.

Today we remember the eight extremely brave, fearless and selfless lifeboatmen, all sons of Mousehole, who made the ultimate sacrifice on the 19th December 1981.
