Very pleased to have completed the #AWS #CloudQuest Solution Architect track and gain this badge.

It was a great way to get hands on through AWS Labs and practice some key skills in order to gain more experience and develop architect qualities on the AWS stack.

I found Cloud Quest a really good way to learn and prepare for one of the next steps which will hopefully be the Solution Architect Associate exam.

#Today I learned that #AWS is retiring its #CloudPractioner #certification on Monday, September 18th, 2023.

So, now I am debating whether to take it or take a step up and #study for the #SolutionsArchitect cert.

If I choose the #SolutionArchitect role, that'll mean much more prolonged, intense studying. At this point, my mind feels full from the information ingestion. But I am willing to delay gratification further.

On-site project (i.e IoT, robotics, webapp, …) require mutable system. It mean your logic and user interface can be modified at anytime after being deployed, maybe via ssh/sftp/uart.

Off-site project (i.e apps/games, services, website, …) require immutable system. It mean each deployment produce immutable artifacts. To harden security and protect your costumers, no one can modify it. The only way to update the system is by redeploy.

I am now eight months in my new #job as a #cloud #solutionarchitect for #microsoft, and all I know is that I still know nothing. :)

But I love working as a support engineer in my role and helping customers out with development problems and enabling them to go further with their #azure workloads.

In few months I need to do my personal review and also plan what will be my next steps.
