@quinnstephens Ah, I'm currently exploring oil colors for the first time since foreeeever, too! #Solventfree and #nontoxic also. Really like it, too!
So, update on #nontoxic #solventfree #oilpainting: Using water-soluble (or water-miscable) oils seems to work pretty well. The texture of my COBRA paints differs from what I remember from traditional oil colors, they are a bit more tacky and less slippery. When mixed with water for a first (or second) paint layer, they feel and behave almost like a mixture of oils and acrylics. They seem to dry a bit faster than trad. oils, too, which I don't mind at all.

I've ordered water-soluble oil paints! I'm really excited to work #solventfree (well, water is a solvent, too, but that's the term used by most in the art community, so I'll stick with it). Also I'm looking forward to the more malleable paints, to having more time painting wet in wet and blending stuff!
