I'm way too late to submit it to #SoME3, but I'm doing this because I want to.
This is very cool (created by a human)
Non-Euclidean Therapy for AI Trauma [Analog Archives] #SoME3
For the past academic year I've been doing research on practical numbers and their generalizations. It's a beautiful piece of number theory in many various aspects. For example they are "applicable" to a real problem of choosing fun and functional denominations of your own currency. Don't know if anyone actually has such problems, but if someone does, then practical numbers are the way to solve it.
In the following video, which is my entry for #SoME3, I will introduce you to practical numbers with a fresh, never seen before approach through set theory. In the end I present a proof of Quasi-Practical theorem (placeholder name) that, I believe, is new. This theorem was firstly introduced by Peng and Bhaskara Rao in their paper "On Zumkeller Numbers", but they approached it purely number theoretically and... not very elegantly imo.
Hope you enjoy it!

I'm judging entries to #SoME3 (https://3blue1brown.substack.com/p/some3-begins) this year. There are some excellent submissions

Recent finds 2: SoME3 and the need for math research exposition
The third Summer of Math Exposition (#SoME3) hosted by Grant Sanderson (3blue1brown) wrapped up this week. Over the past two years, I've learned a lot from many of the videos that people produce and it's been really great to see all the high-quality explanations of math topics. So I am looking forward to seeing what everyone has been working on this summer.
My newest blog post is an entry for #SoME3

#TIL about the #HyperLogLog algorithm and I think it's a damn brilliant way to estimate the unique cardinality of a potentially gargantuan set of items and only running in O(n) time and O(1) space. The fact that variants of the algorithm can be done in parallel makes it even more awesome!
