It's amazing to see BBC pick this up. I'm not sure why these big studios are even necessary. The Internet allows for digital distribution, and there's amazing independent theaters all over the country. Ditch the big studios permanently, and for fucks sake, let us purchase the movies DIRECTLY AT RELEASE for a reasonable price.

Need a bit of tech help, boost appreciated :)

I’m running a #SynologyNAS and use #docker for #radarr and #sonarr
I use NZBget for downloading files
Plex server is running on the NAS.

I also have an #appletv with #plex and I watch movies and tvshows in original version with French subs.

Here is the thing : from the NAS I mainly download .mkv but Plex has hard time with them.

How can I easily convert each file I have already and the future ones for .avi or .mp4 to please Plex ?

For the benefit of anyone who either needs some first-stage convincing as to how fast and easy #containers are, or a primer on now trivially easy it is to install #microservices using docker-compose.

Bonus - the Sonarr container is upgraded to the current beta near the end!

Apenas estoy descubriendo el #fediverso he desconectado con mucha satisfaccion de #netflix, #amazonprime, #spotify. Lo he reemplazado todo por #sonarr #radarr #lidarr y #plex

Estoy tambien muy cansado de #facebook #twitter e incluso ultimamente de #youtube . Por eso ando descubriendo y apreciando cada vez mas el #fediverso. Estoy intentando incluso poniendo mi granito de arena trasteando con mi propio #owncast y no voy a parar ahi. Tanto por profesion como por pasion personal, me encanta trastear con ese tipo de cosas (servidores, microservicios, etc)

Luego a nivel personal, soy un hombre de 34 años, me gusta la musica (del classico al death metal pasando por electronica hardcore). Cine (thriller, horror, suspense,sci fi), series (como las peliculas), videojuegos principalmente por no decir exclusivamente (o casi) #PhantasyStarOnline

Spent a good portion of my morning debugging why on Earth #Sonarr stopped starting on my #FreeBSD box — I went through downgrades of mediainfo and libmediainfo and all sorts of backup recoveries only to find this: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/issues/5464 And yeah, sure enough, downgrading #SQLite to 3.40.1 fixed it.

tl;dr for people running Sonarr on FreeBSD or #FreeNAS / #TrueNAS be sure to lock 3.40.1 version of SQLite and don’t upgrade it for now.

It would be nice if #Sonarr and all the other *arr apps supported external databases other than sqlite.

On that note, it would also be nice if the #Unifi controller could use an external MongoDB server. It's annoying that it's bundled in, and none of the components can be run with HA in mind.

Seguimos avanzando con servicios #docker . Poniendo en marcha mi servidor de streaming ya tengo funcionando #plex y #trasmission . Me queda por configurar #sonarr el cual me da un error de directorio invalido. En los siguientes días seguiré probando a ver si consigo las descargas por si solas !!! Si alguien sabe porque Sonarr me da ese error soy todo oídos!!
