#DOTD: Wen Tianxiang 文天祥 (1236–83), poet and official of the Southern Song #南宋 (1127–1279). A #SongLoyalist, he was captured and executed by the invading forces of Kublai Khan after he refused to accept an office under the #Mongol-#Yuan #元 (1271–1368).
