Earworm of the Day: Jamais Vu by BTS
https://youtu.be/sMeC4P60G2M?si=Re54PPCsumOsIu83
I’ve used a video from their online Bang Bang Con because I love the set. This song is wonderful - the melody, the lyrics, the painful honesty that became a hallmark of BTS.
“So give me a remedy
A remedy that will make my heart beat again”

The #SongOfTheDay #Music #Blues #SkipJames #DeltaBlues
The song of the day is Skip James song I'm so glad.
For me, he is the only vocalist who rivals blind Willie Mcctell as a performer. though Mississippi John Hurt and Robert Johnston are my favorite composers of the style.

Long, long time
Carolina in my mind
Linda Ronstadt & Glen Campbell
A two-for-one today, and these two need no introduction.
YouTube user @cdjhyoung: “If you are 70 years old and didn’t have a crush on Linda, you must have been deaf and blind.”
Good timezone fediverse,
Today's song is Guilty of Innocence by The Hoodie Crows
The Hoodie Crows is a small indie folk duo from Germany mostly doing Irish folk tunes. Some of my fellow mendeddrum followers may know then from the German Discworld Convention, and one of the members is relatively well known in Discworld circles.
In any way it's a great song about social justice and how we need to fight for it.

OMD - Sealand
WIKI
Track by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), a British electronic band. It's from their 1981 album "Architecture & Morality". The song is one of the more atmospheric and ambient tracks on the album, with a lengthy duration and an evocative soundscape.
The track exemplifies the experimental side of OMD during this era of their career

I generally don't like covers but this one is so well executed, with an orchestra!
ofc I expect nothing less from Hazuki who is the #1 LUNA SEA fanboy. I also appreciate his choice to cover Forever & Ever bc it's not really a "popular" ballad in terms of LS lore, most people would default to I For You or Gravity.

[Not Swedish] song of the day
“Helden”
David Bowie
After producing Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life”, Bowie recorded his “Heroes” album at Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin in 1977, with contributions from Brian Eno and production by Tony Visconti. He made English, German & French versions of the title track. The German version, translated by Visconti’s lover Antonia Maaß of jazz rock band Messengers, always sounded more triumphal to my ear than the original English.
