The toy deal that split Sonic 3 in half.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Happy Meal toys were set for 1994 in America, and a game had to be ready with that. To have it ready in time, they cut Sonic 3 short, planning to release the rest as Sonic & Knuckles. This resulted in the use of the unique "lock-on technology" that the S&K cartridge used to make the full Sonic 3 game that was originally supposed to happen.

I can't believe I've been sleeping on this, it's incredible. It has fresh new mechanics and blends S3k with Castlevania. Banging music also.

Can deeply, deeply recommend, rom available here. Loaded fine in emulators as well as my FPGA.

I installed a #BitTorrent client on my phone today so I could download the #OCRemix album Project Chaos. It is a remix album based on the #music of #Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Love that collection.

Dead Batteries by #SnappleMan on it has been my #ringtone for a decade now. Just lost the full album over the years.
