Seriously thinking about buying a soundbar for our 55” TV, am considering the #Sonos Beam Gen 2. Think it might cover part of the screen though since our TV legs aren’t high

I don’t just want to enhance the TV audio but also have a speaker to play some music on (ideally via AirPlay) when not watching TV

The reason I am thinking about this is that I’ve been annoyed at the hot mess which is #Sonos since they converted me from “loyal customer who gladly pays hundreds of pounds & freely recommends your products to others” to “fuck you never again” in one truly, spectacularly awful product decision. Now I’m thinking those 5 dangerous words - how hard could it be - to create something myself…

@anderseknert The local rumor mill has it that #Sonos’s software org is crazy dysfunctional.

I still remember when I got to try #Sonos for the first time. The remote was a little clunky, but the whole thing was *magical*, as it was the first multi-room audio solution that just *worked*, and anyone could operate. 15 years (?) later, nothing is clunky, the design is amazing, and… nothing works. All devices including the app drops out of the sync all the time, even in tiny spaces. I’ve heard the same story from so many people I know.

I wonder how they got here?

@rangezoomtYT Das ist der Roam, ich finde den richtig gut. Auf der Terrasse und im Urlaub immer dabei. Der erste den ich hatte, war nach 1 1/2 Jahren hin und hat sich nicht mehr verbinden lassen. Wurde mir ohne Probleme von #Sonos ausgetauscht.

Anyone using a SONOS BEAM 2? Looking at getting one as it seems to be a good allrounder but wondering how it sounds given it doesn't have a separate sub #sonos

My kids played "sonos" and "Alexa" in the car today. The script:
"Hey Alexa, play <some song>"
Then they all sing that song together. Or,
"Hey sonos, play <some song>"
"I'm sorry, I don't understand. Please use the sonos app."
It was also allowed to have fun with the volume in either system.

I love that #sonos #voicecommands are #localonly... but it's frustrating that even my 4 year olds notice the tradeoff in capability. Keep working on it, sonos, we really need companies like you!

There's many things that #Sonos need to fix, but one is when I say "Hey Sonos, play my music" to not play the artist 'My Music'
