The murder of Brianna Ghey is bringing back lots of memories of the murder of Sophie Lancaster all those years ago.

Although it's not a direct parallel (Sophie was attacked for being a goth) i remember how deeply it affected me as someone with very close links to that community, and all I can do really is offer support and solidarity with the trans community.
