I played my Wendish card for the first time a week or so ago.
On a survey for the Census Bureau one of the demographic questions asked about family background. It included checking as many options as applied. German? Check! English? Check! Fill in the blank for "other"? That's where I typed in "Wendish".
I'll let them figure it out.
I’ll be performing This Land is Not Mine at Ars Electronica Festival in #Linz, #Austria
7th September at 4pm, Festival University Stage
In this 45 minute #performance, I play my 7 track album about the region of #Lusatia #Lausitz, famous for #opencastmining and home of the #Sorbs #Sorben. The album tells stories of characters in Lusatia as the mines close down. The rivers, the cities, lost villages all have a voice in the compositions.
I do hope you can join me!

Sorbian #Osterreiter (Easter-Riders) I find a nice tradition.
The #Sorbs are a Slavic minority in Eastern-Germany, closely related to the Poles.
