@steko I found this while at a live talk at #sotm2021 from one of the OSM carto devs, and yeah, he said that you shouldn't render it in colour for that reason.

So one of the #SOTM2021 talks was about pedestrian data. I add sidewalks via #StreetComplete all the time, but I've just realised how much faster it is to add via #JOSM and Overpass with the great Bing imagery here.

I did a couple towns really quickly, I think I'm gonna keep doing it.
