Can’t hear the talking on the TV speakers. Not too keen on smarts (Alexa built in etc) but if that’s the only good option I’ll try it. Thanks in advance 👍

1. I use my TCL Roku TV without internet
2. Optical audio on soundbar broke so needed replacement (we don't talk about HDMI ARC)
3. New soundbar works but universal remote stops working
4. See "without internet" for problem
5. Gets new universal remote
6. Controls TV (albeit none of the codes for TCL worked and I had to spend 20-30 minutes having the remote go through every possible code)
7. Gets remote to control soundbar power and mode
8. ...But not sound

-easy setup (total A/V dolt tbh)
-easy control from anyone (ie NOT app-only control - I don't live alone)
-preferably HDMI & Bluetooth (so I can stream music. am I doing this right? ugh)
-Good Enough. Small space = no need for a subwoofer, home theater, etc.
sonos seems complicated to control? no hdmi? bose seems fine? JBL? Vizio, really? I've done the wirecutter research but it's mosty more than I want to spend

The Nano DE-10 board is sending interferences to the CEC channel of your TV, disabling ARC and, therefore, your #soundbar.
THIS ALSO APPLIES IF THE MISTER IS POWERED OFF, as an HDMI cable has a base voltage to power on external devices via TV!
The solution is an adapter to stop CEC channels/pin: https://www.reddit.com/r/fpgagaming/comments/f7dq0n/mister_breaks_hdmi_cec_and_arc_between_tv_and/

229 followers · 1419 posts · Server bildung.socialNachdem meine #Soundbar sich nicht mehr mit dem subwoofer koppeln lässt (hielt ja auch immerhin bis kurz NACH der Gewährleistung) hab ich ein bisschen rumprobiert. Hab meine 2 Aktivlautsprecher (Edifier) an den Fernseher gesteckt. Dazu noch den Raspberry mit #MusicPlayerDaemon. Das Setting gefällt mir besser als die Soundbar, die nur mit dem Bass die Kinder weckte. Außerdem bin ich flexibler
Jetzt hab ich in teurere #Lautsprecher investiert (nubert nubox a125) und es klingt noch besser.
