Listening to Matt Uelmen's soundtracks - I don't know if it's my nostalgia from Diablo 2 and Torchlight 2, or if Matt Uelmen is just that good, but his music really has that power to *take me right back*. #SoundTrack #VideoGames

She and her cohort perform #Sibelius , #Stravinsky, and a tickle of Saint-Saëns to a ridiculously high level.

Melodies which lighten, grandiosity which humbles, a delicacy which inspires, and a passion that will tear out your heart.

I wanted a chill day but my 'music to-do' list said 'oh my sweet summer child' and kicked me in the feelz.

Awards, praise, and accolades for this then 18 year old wunderkind.

#TIL that Eric W. Brown (also known as #RainbowDragonEyes), who composed the (superb!) soundtracks for #TheMessenger and more recently #SeaOfStars, is also the drummer of the (somewhat weird, but rather well known) #DeathMetal outfit #Nekrogoblikon. Now, I wouldn't call myself a fan of their music, but it's always fascinating to me when different passions of mine (in this case: #Metal and #ChipTune) suddenly connect.

You Can't Steal My Joy by #EzraCollective is, in the words of Rolling Stone, "a lean exuberance to this band that demands a dancing response" and, yeah. Mood this.

Prog jazz with blues undertones, and a bop to make you smile in the best of times, the worst of times.

And they won the #MercuryPrize recently. Something tells me this is the start of something big.

This is a great #album. Noise #rock with lots of crunchy trash mixed with an obsessive to melodic detail.

Angry? No...but frustrated. Distortion up to 11 and a subtly to revival the patience of saints.

I rewatched #TMNT #MutantMayhem last night. And playing #BombRushCyberfunk, really made me appreciate 'Mayhem's music. #TrentReznor worked with Atticus Ross. And they made a pulsing #soundtrack. With dynamic #chiptune mixed with physical instruments. It's suspenseful, but also bop-able. And also really hits those solemn notes.

Chu Young-Wuk (조영욱) is a South Korean movie composer who has been active since the late nineties with over 80 credits to his name. My first exposure to his soundtracks was the wonderful Oldboy movie from 2003. This song is from the movie Innocent Witness from 2018 (though the album was published on Spotify just this year).
