Not my usual listening, but caught the first part of 21st Century Folk Music on #BBCSounds just before. Interesting story on #Sunderland #SoupKitchen was followed by a piece that included playing the marvellous Eva Cassidy, playing her brilliant rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Well worth it, linking it for those not familiar with it.
Eva’s voice was so haunting and melodic. She would have turned 60 in a couple of weeks, had she still been with us.
