Z uwagi na pewnego znajomego, który za nic nie chce przekonać się do korzystania chociażby z #facebook (co i tak jest chujowym rozwiązaniem w kwestii prywatności ale przyjemniejszym pod względem ilości usług), bo "praktycznie tam nie wchodzi" jestem zmuszony do korzystania z #instagram , bo tylko z nim jest tam kontakt i postanowiłem, kurwa, na rzecz prywatności wypróbować BarInsta, jako jedyny #OSS odpowiednik natywnej aplikacji i kurwa szok, aplikacja bez wsparcia od dwóch lat, kod źródłowy usunięty. Wchodzę na stronę dewelopera, a tam notka, że aplikacja bez wsparcia, bo prawnik #meta dał mu ultimatum, że albo usuwa to, albo pozew. Zuckerberg, zdecyduj się, kurwa, czy wspierasz #opensource czy nie

On the one hand, we have their open sourced projects such as React or PyTorch, and on the other, a corporation sending lawyers for a small developer because he decided to create a #foss client for their service. I have one friend, who can't even use fucking #facebook and I need for contact with him using #Instagram and for privacy I wanted to test #oss #alternativeclient BarInsta, but app wasn't update for 2 years and #sourcecode was deleted from GitHub. I went to Dev's website and found information about the end of support for BarInsta because fucking Meta sent lawyer with ultimatum "you delete this app or we'll meet in the court".

And whilst the #SSPL has it's own problems that disqualify it, a "#ShareAlike" provision requiring public code to remain #public could be added to any #FLOSS #license, not just @creativecommons licenses.

I.e. "Any used versions - released as part of a product or on their own - must have their #SourceCode released in public for everyone to access and reproducably build with no form of barriers!"

There are at least two other ports already: WipEout Phantom Edition / unnamed project by developer XProger.

@jwildeboer @SUSE @ubuntu @opensuse @SolarisDiaspora I think "Just clone #RHEL!" is kinda bad and unsustainable as a business.
Killing #CentOS and barring #OracleLinux was more of "glock-leg" / "shooting themselves in the foot" of #RedHat and IMHO it should get RHEL to decline in adoption similar to #grsecurity when they #paywalled access to their #SourceCode.

I think it's a bad move even tho no #GPL version demands said sourcecode to be publicly accessible to everyone.
