#Vermont folks. I am looking for a good Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant. I live in #Williston but would be happy to drive an hour or so to get there. Any suggestions?

I attended my first UVM hockey game last night. What made it so much fun, other than the win in OT, was the terrific atmosphere in the arena. The kids getting a chance to ride the Zamboni, pizza being delivered to a section and people taking a slice and passing it along, the burrito toss, etc. it’s a community, not just a game.

Went to the FISU World University Games in Lake Placid this weekend. We attended the freestyle skiing and short track speed skating. We really enjoyed being up close to the events. The crowds were not too large and the facilities are great.
Being able to attend events that are new to us is one of the reasons we moved to #Vermont.

I have been enjoying our first big snow in #Vermont. Mostly by staying indoors and looking out. The power stayed on and my husband mastered the snowblower with no issue.
However, you guys have me concerned with the talk of #RoofRaking. Are you actually talking about getting on the roof? and with an actual rake?

I am watching the installation of solar panels on my neighbors house. Does anyone have them and can you share your experience? Is it worth the cost?
This is one of the many differences between living in #Vermont and in #ATL. No one in the south even thinks about putting solar power on their home.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I feel blessed to be able to connect to other #vermonters here. Heading to a vegan thanksgiving celebration later today, so that is new for us. Will be cooking our own turkey tomorrow!

Observations of a #southernerinvermont after my first month in #Vermont
1. The lack of humidity has caused my hair to reduce by half. Now I know why southern women have big hair.
2. It only takes 5 minutes to get anywhere and lines/crowds are small compare to ATL. We can stop ordering so much basic stuff on line.
3. My #uga flag looks good anywhere. Go Dawgs!
