Every year I choose a fiction series to re-read, and this year’s choice was Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach novels. I always forget that there is one signature in my copy of Authority that was inserted upside down during the binding process. Every time I come across it again it cracks me up and I wonder if it’s just my copy or are they all like that so we each can experience reading a book upside down in public? Either way, this brings me joy. #SouthernReach @jeffvandermeer
