Climate change will be “extirpating” the southern yellow billed hornbill from the hottest parts of its habitat.

This sounds like the ones living in the hottest areas will basically fail to reproduce and thus die out? Inability to reproduce isn’t how I imagined species extinction to happen but I guess that’s one of the ways it does.
