The proposed ordinance guarantees developers that 85% of lots in multi-family zones can be covered with "hardscape" - buildings, driveways, etc. That leaves no room for mature trees. The Middle Housing bill that just passed the WA Legislature could make ALL Seattle lots multi-family.
S. Seattle ALREADY has less canopy cover than most of Seattle.
