I was just in the car with my five-year-old telling her what #Juneteenth is all about, and then we were talking about how #history has so many bad things in it but also some good things like discoveries and inventions. She told me that 3/4 of the stuff she remembers seeing have been good and 1/4 bad. I told her that parents are always trying to make there be more good stuff for their kids so they can have a good life. She said she'd do the same and then was like, "Is that just what life is?" 🥲 "Yep. That's what life is."
