This week's system map for my group's Space23 project. We randomly design a system then we spend the week writing rumours, plot hooks and planetary details for it.

I think the Jovian planet with rings and 24 moons is gonna be fun.

And, to tie everything up, Xarnak's private planet villa and a clan of Aslans with lots of weapons just lying around ready to be used by mercenaries/pirates/revolutionaries/natives/etc.
It was really fun to randomly generate half the planets and then making up plot hooks to tie everything together!

Day five, and did you know that a chartered member of the Levy can command a berth on any ship that uses their engines, whenever they like? And yes, that includes military vessels.

As you can imagine, this makes it very, very hard to hide the movement of anything over interstellar distances from The Levy. I bet there are other consequences too!

(I wonder how the Empress of Dust feels about the Levy exercising its rights on board her vessels? 🤔)

The Sub-Sector is taking shape... two colonies, one balkanized, other an isolationist splinter from the former one.
Last Heaven may be difficult to reach, but there may be some clues about the past on their ruins.

Today I decided to just roll the dices my Classic Traveller (1981 facsimile edition) book and see what did came out.
And the answer is: more MYSTERIES! Filling the blanks is a fun exercise for Masters and the book itself really encourages you to do so.

Day three, and the third (and final) great power in the Known Universe is the Triumvirate. They are the heads of three great religions, only two of which are officially recognised by the Shrouded Throne.

A pirate base on an asteroid field and a Pandoraesque planet.
The advantage of writing two worlds at a time is that you can work synergies on the spot, then place them on different parts of the map like a puzzle for the players to solve.

Day two of #Space23 / #Dungeon23!

The second great organisation in this setting is the Stellar Unity Charter (aka The Levy). They’re an order of engineers and shipwrights, with monopoly control over the tech (TBD) that enables interstellar travel.

When you dock in any port, you can expect a Levy inspection along with associate upkeep and maintenance fees. Levy reps have sweeping access rights to any starship containing their engines.

I’m going all space opera for my #Space23 / #Dungeon23 adventure this year. My goal is to build the kind of sprawling, mystery-filled, ancient space operatic setting that particularly tickles me. It’s going to be fun!

Inspired by Dune, I’m starting with the three great powers who define the political landscape of the setting. The first is the Empress of Dust, sitting on the Shrouded Throne.

This Logbook is designed for mapping the surface of a single planet (or other spherical body). The entirety of the surface is divided into 32 faces; 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons, all with equal edge length.
