I found this peculiar thing on eBay, a scan of the editorial page to a 1962 special issue of the magazine Royal Airforce Flying Review.
I'll let the accompanying text speak for itself. But I'll add that I can only presume that it was a one-off for the purposes of showing off and not at all a serious proposal, otherwise you'd think there would be some other documentation of it.
The original was at an oblique angle, so I fixed that in PS and did some other cleanup.

#India successfully launched its first #space mission to study the #sun on Sat, ~1 week after becoming the 1st country to land an unmanned robotic #spacecraft near the moon’s south pole.
The #AdityaL1’s mission is to observe the outer atmosphere of the sun.
“The vehicle has placed the #satellite precisely into its intended #orbit. India’s first #solar #observatory has begun its journey to the destination of Sun-Earth L1 point,” the #ISRO said.

Back to some space history neepery, hmm? I've previously spoken of the 1964 World's Fair in New York City as a last gasp of 20th century techno-optimism, and this is a little bit more from it. It's art of the Hall of Science's "movie hall", showing a Martin Marietta station and spaceship. It was printed in the Souvenir Book of the fair.
