Prototyping hanger coming along nicely. Not the best weld arm design, but it's certainly functional. MarmOS is still a magical script to me, it takes any arm and gives you direct positional control of the tool head.

Fun fact, this location was originally named Bolthole, but every time I saw my own marker I misread it. So I caved in and renamed it. Fun (not fun) fact, you have to dig straight down about 60 meters through ice to get to rock. #ButtholeBase #SpaceEngineers

I was doing a high speed pass over a base in my Chinook (running a max speed mod) and I got a message that their escort craft "noticed a signal". Tried to go into the external view to get a look, hit the "get out of the seat" button by accident. My Chinook shot off into the distance at 500 km/h and thanks to the aerodynamics mod, the drag on my body meant my jetpack couldn't even pretend to keep up >_< #spaceengineers

Today's #SpaceEngineers adventure involved flying around the asteroids near my moon until I finally found platinum. I mined up as much as my ship would hold and then started to fly home. However, it took me a long time to find platinum and I'd used up most of my hydrogen fuel already. I missed the mark and did not make it back to base, and I had just enough fuel to do a suicide burn so that my landing was not catastrophic. No kidding, my hydrogen tank ran dry about 20 m off the surface.

And yes. My ship/rover *IS* an UTTER abomination.

I'm playing modded and have a salvage only play. I've essentially built onto my starting rover out of necessity.
