Statistics intrigue. Google disabled various YouTube, AdSense, and Blogger accounts for coordinated influence operations. A few for Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Togo, and Burkina Faso, then 7,467 YouTube channels and 183 Blogger blogs for China. Of those, most were just spam.

An idea to get rid of spam in open electronic message systems:

By combining messaging with micropayments and a protocol where you have to deposit a tiny amount for messages to recipients outside your domain, unless you are pre-cleared.
Once the recipient confirms the message as non-spam the deposit is released back to the sender. If it is marked as spam by the recipient, the deposit goes to the infrastructure provider.

Uff, bei mir persönlich hat #Spam das nächste Level erreicht. Wurde heute morgen in eine #Apple iMessage Gruppenkonversation aufgenommen. Ich kann die Handynummern aller weiteren Teilnehmer sehen. #iOS hat mich direkt gefragt, ob es Spam sei, weil keine der Nummern in meinen Kontakten stünde. Gemeldet, geblockt und gelöscht! 👍🏻

Starting this morning I’ve been getting tons of #spam phone calls from random numbers, each identified with a real human person’s name. The couple that I have picked up say they got a call from my number with some business name attached (this is a personal number.) #tmobile doesn’t have much to suggest. My best guess is that my number is now being spoofed by a scammer? Anyone else ever experience anything like this?
