Remedios Varo was the greatest of the surrealist painters (except for possibly maybe Magritte) but this is the hill I’ve chosen to die on today. She hung out with Frida Kahlo and Leonora Carrington, which was hella cool.
Also her paintings of cats were *chefs kiss* 😚👌
